Howdy,
I am converting to an auto tranny in my 66 M-100. I've got a buddy with an auto 64' parts truck, and I am wondering if his brake pedal assembly would be a direct swap into my truck.
Thanks!
Derek.

you don't need the assembly. just the shaft without the clutch pedal attached.

Clutch stuff
clutch and brake pedal brackets are unique for 65 and 66. I use a brake pedal arm from a 67-79 with power brakes because I use power brakes and these pedal arms are Ford. As for eliminating the clutch pedal and related un needed parts, its mostly a case of removing them. Getting this all back togeather is easier if you pull the bracket and MC and work on the bench. Save the plastic clutch spring isolators they are handy for eliminating that annoying squeak every time you press the clutch and some here will want them.

This is the correct answer. You don't need a different pedal, they were the same for stick and auto. the 61-64 stuff is completely different and really won't work anyway. Just get a bolt of the right diameter (same diameter as teh shaft on your clutch pedal) that is longer on the unthreaded portion and cut it off and drill a hole for a cotter key or find a piece of steel rod the diameter and drill for a cotter key on each end or weld a washer on one end and drill the other. Last but not least you can take your clutch pedal out and cut the arm off and just use the pin.
