First, Welcome to Slick 60's!

So... are you looking for a bed mount or one for under the bed?

Thanks
I am looking for either or both and i may build a custom tank my truck has been rebuilt by me to haul heavy and fast stopping for fuel with only a 18 gallon tank is not fun and sometimes just not enough to get to the next station

Okay, other members have installed a early mustang gas tank under the bed. here is a link>> http://fordtruk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8728

and, i have seen a simple in bed install of a stock tank.
the filler neck ends up on the passenger side of the truck
but is doable, just remove a behind the seat fuel tank and secure it to the front wall of the bed, run your fuel lines etc.....

check out the youtube video "ford truck is ford tough in Mr. Majestyk"
it will show the in bed tank ++++ it's Cool!

Hey Rebel, First of all :welcome: from OKC. Good to see another Okie in the mix.
Some of us have used a 23 gallon tank from a Bronco II in the rear behind the axle as well.
I am planning to go that route in a 57 and a 63. Has a side fill and fits good back there by moving back the rear crossmember.
You will have to fab the straps holding it up, but the stock ones can be extended easily.
Check PFMs crewcab build in "Projects and Builds." TR

Thanks
I was thinking of tanks in front of the rear wheels. I have beefed up my rear receiver and this puts a brace I have put in the way of a rear tank although I could notch the tank around the brace. you have given me some ideas thanks if you have any more please let me know

Ford Rangers use a poly tank inboard of the framerail, the extended cabs have aprox 75L (~19.8 USG) capacity.....there are plenty of late models using poly tanks, including the superduty's, and they are also inboard....
