That one doesn't bolt direct to the firewall. There is a bracket between the booster and the firewall.

I used a stock rebuilt one for a 65-66 F-100 and the Mustang dual master cylinder bolted right up to it. I think they also used a bracket, but I redrilled the holes in my firewall so I didn't have to use the bracket. Works great.

I got a universal one off ebay for my 64, and I had to use a bracket off a 65 or 67 i believe I got from a member on here. It is a 2 piece bracket. Ill grab some pics later if you need. I do not think any bolt directly to teh firewall, they have a bracket even if you can't see it because of the pushrod lencgth.

The reason I wanted one to bolt directly to the firewall is I'm having a difficult time with the boot sealing against the hole.

Mike: Perhaps the hole in the firewall has been altered from its original configuration.
Can you post a picture of the firewall without your brake booster attached, for comparison?
And, while you are at it, perhaps one also of the backside of your boostr, with the seal you are using.

There was a plastic piece that was between the firewall and the brake booster on one truck I found. Unfortunately it had deteriorated from weather and was no goood to use.

Curious about the ebay one. Did it come with the master cylinder? What did you decide to do about the dual line master cylinder? Did you just get a proportioning valve off a different truck?

Boot

I use flat bar (Ford) from the brake pedal arm through the firewall and a mustanh boot. Bolt in deal. The bracket will raise the MC to allow it to clear valve covers on fat Ford V8's. If you direct bolt the MC to the firewall use silicone to seal it up.
