Not sure what the "host" hotel designation means, but Bluebolt (Brien) and I have reservations at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Roanoke. (Chosen primarily because they don't charge the credit card until we check in unlike the Best Western which charges the card immediately?) We'll be arriving late afternoon or early evening on Tuesday so we can get Brien's "parts emporium" unloaded as early as we can on Wednesday and give us plenty of time to look around as the vendors are setting and the others are unloading their goodies and get the pick of the crop. The "show" seems to be getting more active earlier in the week than toward the end of the week. Seems that the last two years everyone is pretty much packed and gone or ready to go early Sunday morning.
Fair warning, don't wait until the last minute as the rooms near the speedway go quick. We've wound up staying 12-15 miles away for the past two years due to failure to make timely reservations (distance isn't really a problem, but the morning and evening rush hour traffic on the weekdays is a royal PITA.)

Skip, it sounds like you will be bringing a good bit of goodies with you. I would say bring the bed. Does it have fenders attached? Probably easier to bring with them detached I would think. Should be someplace to set it. Might buy somebody's supper some night
at Babe's for space (wink wink nudge nudge). TR

Wollfe.
Send me an e-mail at Port44 at comcast dot net
and I'll send you a couple of pictures.
Matt has spoken for the bed already, but if he doesn't want it, we might work a deal and I can bring it up with me.
What do you want $ to share or take your space?

I am looking forward to Pate. If someone has an extra space, I would be interested in it. I would drive my slick up if I could drive in. Can always put the parts in the back. Thanks

We'll be there again this year. I'm hoping to drive my slick up again, but its having brake issues. Hopefully I'll get enough free weekends between now and pate to sort it out.

Wolfe. The bed has been sold. Sorry.
Got lots of other goodies besides the bed though.
But I would be interested in your space if you want to sell it. Let Chris or Truckrat know.
Getting close. I can't wait.

My brother and I are really looking forward to coming down there. I've had a couple requests from the guys at work to bring back Armidillo helmets, I told them I'd do my best.

Need parts

Post by HillBillyF100 »

If someone has a slick sided bed (short) then I'd be willing to trade them a bump style bed (with spare tire notch)...Or, I'd pay, if the price was good...
I'd entertain ANY condition....
Let me know...what you all have, or are bringing..Here is everything else I am needing
Turn signal switch
Disc brake conversion
Your old I-beam set up..(frame and all, for those who clipped your fronts)

I am sure I need more, but....mind is blank right now...

here is my number if you all have questions about stuff...I'll be there (minus truck) on Saturday..I could also be there for a little while on Friday...I live in Denton (about 20 minutes away)
