So, lets see what area has the most slicks
Take a moment, Think of how many slicks are in your area. To be eligable they must not be in a salvage yard, but all other places are acceptable. They must be within 10 miles or 14.6 kilometers approximately from you. And there condition does not matter as long as it is recognisable as a slick without having to get out and start looking at the parts to confirm. I want to know what the distribution of slicks is according to the area. Who knows, you may be in the slick capitol of North America! Oh ya, count your own too.
There is 2 slicks in my area.

I can think of about 16 and a farmer ownes 6 of those, not all running but not in a salvige yard, 2 of them are 2 ton farm trucks still maken a living and a slick in the tree trimming business, he has a long boom for winching trees long distance. 1 wrecker that i have lost track of. I keep a close eye on all of them just in case a for sale sign should find its way in the windshield.

not quite fair to count our own in the figure. if thats the case, Ice is probably in the running for capitol
and are the 2 in your area both yours?
theres 6 near me (not counting mine) that I can think of offhand. I think there are probably two more but not positive. so that puts me at a sure 9 with mine, and a possible 11.

Not counting mine there are 3 within a 1/8 mile of my house.
1 across the street in front of me, 1 on the next street behind me and 1 on the next block.
2 are step sides. And I think all 3 are complete originals.
Mr. Black who owns the one behind me still has the original hubcaps on his and it's his daily driver.

There are 4 and soon to be five withinn about 100 ft of each other.. Two here at my place now( waiting on a Third ), One across the street, and one next door to the one across the street. The Two across the street are les than 10 ft apart and the closest one of those is about 75 ft from mine............Darrell

Son.
In Texas we have to drive more than 10 miles to get to the closest 7/11.
The City of Houston has at least a 70 mile radius from the center of downtown so this criteria does not fit the Texas Chapter.
But..... within the 70 mile radius I can personally count at least 15 Slick members.
The Dallas guys can account for at least that many, and the San Antonio guys are lurking in the weeds, not counting the guys in Mexia, Longview, Tyler, Corpus, Friendswood, Wharton, Friendswood, Victoria, Freeport, Lubbock, Ft. Worth, and ...................... OH I could go on............................

I just bought two more parts trucks pretty much complete. 4 trucks at the shop complete, and two partly dismantled, and several cabs and some made into trailers. 2 more complete trucks in storage, and a 65 shortbed that I've decided to fix someday, and another nearly complete parts truck setting outside at that location. One truck at home that I drive daily. So I have 9 or 10 trucks depends on how you count these, or possibly 13. Not a good number must buy another one soon, don't want an unlucky number. In addition, I know of at least 5 others within 13 miles of me, which are the next closest towns.

Not including the 3 I have in my yard, I know of only two within a 10 mile radius. My commute to Salt Lakre however, is 40 miles & I know of about 8 more along that route.

same thing goes here, except Alaska is twice the size of Texas, and the closest town to me is over 20 miles.Uncle Skip wrote:Son.

the only slicks within 10 miles are the ones i have here, give me a reasonable distance of 60 miles to the south and i can add other slicks.the closest other members are over 100 miles away.
