wiper question

when i turn on my wipers it sounds like the worlds largest vibrator

If i help by pushing them back and forth they work...sorta.Anyone have any ideas?It's kinda close quarters under there and if anyone has had the same prob maybe i can save my knuckles and a few cuss words

If not I'll post my adventures(minus profanity,of course) here.

Sounds like you need a new wiper motor.

This would be a good time to upgrade to a delay unit.

Put a new model 2 speed motor in is just pull the old swap brace and arm and put back in. Maybe a bit over simplified but that is the jist of it.
When you are ready holler and I will come over and supervise, I am good at that

Make sure when you pull on you get the wiring and switch too and you can have your washer in the switch instead of a seperate button.

ok,cool! I also found Michelle's writeup,It looks fairly simple.I just HATE working under the dash,all of those stamped pieces have sharp edges so I end up looking like I got in a fight with a weedeater

Ahhh...the joys of working on 40+ year old vehicles. Gotta love it!
