full door trim

here is how i made my door trims,

i started with the spare doors i have and filled in the gaps with bondo and masking tape over the holes,
i then waxed the door were i was laying the fibreglass,

this how they come of the doors,i aimed for 1/8" finished thickness,you can see i have not trimmed them up because i laid them over my good doors to drill the door clips,check your clips as mine clips sit off centre to the holes in the door cards.

trim is finished,i covered the door card with closed cell foam and cut the pattern into it,then more clue and fitted the vinyl ,to easy

door trim goes upto door glass makes it look alot better.these cost me around $200aud the pair finished,Darren

That looks great. I am so blown away by the talent on this site. I have never worked with fiberglass, so I enjoy this type of tips and hints article. I might even try some glass work in the future.

Thanks Doug,i never worked with fibreglass so i had my brother help me out and my idea worked as for the upholstery i brought a book on custom upholstery which showed me how to finish them

Alan, how many of those can you get into your luggage in Aug. Nice looking panels. foodstick is pretty good working with glass so i sent him a link to this thread and gonnna see if him and I can work something out.

thanks mate ,i think they owe me a couple hundred finished.
