Greetings from rainy Oregon. My name is mike starck and I have a 1966 swb pickup. I bought the truck in 1998 and have been working on it since. The project evolved kinda backwards due to the fact I didn't know what I was doing and had no plan. Nevertheless it's basically done for now.I know it will "never be done" but i have another project going and trying to complete it soon.
Details of the truck are in my signature .thanks for looking and I look forward to following your builds and projects and maybe getting new ideas and part sources. Mike

Welcome Mike...that is one good looking truck. I have relatives in Jefferson. Maybe sometime when I am visiting I can look you up and see that beauty up close.
You have found the most knowledgeable group of guys on these trucks. Without this group I would probably be driving a chebby powered Slick (sorry JC).
Beautiful truck! Looks like you figured out pretty quick what you were doing. Welcome from Louisiana.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

William, I do have a couple.Wish I would have taken more. The 4 link is a kit from NO LIMIT ENG.either weld in or bolt in ,I did both.removed all old suspension and brackets.welded all holes in frame.c notched frame above axle tube (were bump stop is).extended wheel base about 1" so tires fit in wheel well .Welded brackets to diff. housing then took to powder coat shop. Upgraded 9"with a trac loc posi and Dutchman 31 spline alloy axles w/ 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern.they drilled my brake drums to match.(no money left for disc brakes)
Ialso extended the wheelbase on the front 1 1/2" when I did the IFS.

VERY nice! I like your wheels, lol.
Love the louvers - you have a good pic of the hood to share? I am punching mine one of these days - don't have a plan laid out yet though. I am also modding a stock tailgate with a flat center panel to louver it too.
Welcome to Slick 60s.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......
Mike.
Dude, if that was an un-planned project, I don't think we can stand to see the results of one you've thought thru.
Seriously, that is a beautiful truck.
JakDad. You paying attention?
