Floor pan metal guage

Post by Power by Ford »

Had no luck with the Search. Can someone tell me the guage of the stock floor pan sheet metal? My guess is it is 16 guage but Im unsure. Also anyone know the guage of the ones that are offered by the aftermarket? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the floor pans were thicker than 20 ga.

The original ford pans are 16. the aftermarket ones are 20 maybe even thinner.
Why is it all the good parts or on the other side of the country?

I got 16ga. pans from Carolina Classics a few years ago. If they're black, they're foreign and thinner.

I used 16 ga. to repair mine, I believe the original metal was a little thinner, maybe 18 ga.
