friend says it is "time"
a good friend from down south missouri says it's time for me to head down and get what i can off a 6? uni. he has two and his friend has two. there is another that they have both scavenged for parts. this is the truck he says to come and pick over. just might be heading down to get what i can before it "goes into the weeds".
i'm gonna get what ever i can. i think dicky even has a torch so this might be more than a 1/2 wrench and screw driver parts chase.
if the dash is good, i'm going to get a patch panel for my 66's radio garage door sized hole. lol.
anyone need anything?
i'm sure all the obvious stuff is already gone, but you never know.
he didn't even have a windshield for me. bastard. lol.
i'd bet on stuff like window glass, regulators, maybe doors, hood?, switches and knobs, stuff like that.
i'll post back if i get down there.

Chris, let me know what's good. Thanks. A 62 Grill is always high on my list, good roof is interesting too (no mine doesn't need one).

Taillight housings, sheet metal pieces for the steering column, at the floor, core support.
If you're cutting stuff up, I could use the front, lower 1/4 of the bed - say about from where the wheel wells end, forward, including at least 12" of the rear cab wall. Really, I could make use of the entire bed floor, if it is straight and solid. I can use the front fenders. I need at least the back portion of the fender where they mount to the cab corners to be in good shape. I can graft that portion onto my fenders and then have good fenders.
If the door panels are held on with machine screws, I can use a couple of those clip-nut thingies.
I have a friend in KC so shipping will not be an issue. I may even be able to arrange pick up. He's due to head back down this way in about a month.

well, i've seen some trucks in yards, but this one was DONE. funny thing is that it has a real good tailgate, but it was already spoken for. grrrrrr. the front clip was also spoken for, but was not in that great of shape. i just wanted the upper valance as it was a 61 and had no holes and was nice and straight.
all i grabbed was the ww motor and linkage with pivots.
one good inside door panel as mine has none.
z-bar and frame bracket, but i forgot the pedal linkage (he knows i want it and will save it).
glove box door springs.
and a round speedo.
there was not much left of this truck and it was rusty.
bed sides were toast, roof had rust through. no windshield so it was full of all kinds of debris and everything had stuff growing on it. lol
charley, the tail light housing on the drivers side had a crease in it, but i think the pass side was good.
torque box area was rusted and so was the whole bed floor over the cross supports.
the doors were good.
regulators were stripped.
anthony, i didn't get any switches, but they were all there. they have obviously been wet before and all the bezels were painted black, like everything else on the dash.
let me know if you want them and i will get them next time i go down there. probably in a couple of months.

Chris, I probably have a spare inside door panel here.

Ezernut, I will let you know on the switches but I think I might have found mine. I am bad about putting up stuff and forgetting where...
. I have ,I think, 2 sets of the metal door panels out of my '66 and the '66 body I'm using. both sets are in good shape. I am putting the pockets in mine so if you would like I can get you pics? I will make you a good deal on a set. Thanks for checking for me....
