Could be worse. In fact, if it makes you feel any better there's an old song precisely about that....

I WISH I WAS IN PEORIA
(As sung by Billy Jones & Ernest Hare, 1926)

SPOKEN: All hands on deck! (Aye, aye, sir!)
Man the lifeboats! (Aye, aye, sir!)

VERSE 1: S-O-S! S-O-S! Captain, we are lost.
Our ship is wallowing in the sea. By wind and wave we are tossed.
Lifeboats here, lifeboats there, hear the shrieks and groans!
The captain calls all hands on deck and says in trembling tones:

(SPOKEN: What did he say, Bill?)

CHORUS 1: Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria, Peoria tonight!
Oh, how I miss the goils in Peoria, Peoria tonight!
Oh, you can pick a morning Gloria (Yes, yes!)
Right off the sidewalks of Peoria.
Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria, Peoria tonight!

How long you going to be here? I will get back from Wisconsin Sunday afternoon.
If you continue to buy imports, where will your children work?

What the hell are you doing in this armpitt of the midwest. Unfortunately I have to live here and no one wants too. We have nothing, we do nothing, and we have nothing to offer. So what are you doing in Peoria?

Peoria can't be too bad, they make Catapillars there. Allan always ordered CAT engines in his trucks, they were great engines.

Peoria

Well we have a river.....but it is the runoff of the Chicago sanitary system. We have several distilleries but it makes the place smell like sour mash. And as far as Caterpillar goes most of it's manufacturing is done out of state now all we really have is world HQ and the engineering facility. Unless you are partial to corn fields, the smell, box stores, and chain restaurants then you will love it.

Hey Skip, again I missed you in Illinois, as I'm working in th Duluth area for this winter. As to the rest of you the smell of sour mash isn't that unpleasant. As to Peoria, it'snota bad place to be from, far from that is.

Figured you who take I-74 and I-55 to go get your truck that you stole. I am about 35 miles northwest of Peoria. Starting to get a complex, Skip has been here a few times and never called. And I stuck up for him at SlickStock!
