Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
I got tired of looking at the engine sitting on the garage floor and taking up room. Broken finger or not I finished drilling the engine mount holes and got her installed! Woooohoooo!

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
IMG_0674.JPG Has anybody re-painted the trim piece below the gauge bezel? I'm wondering if anyone makes a decal that matches the "Custom Cab" lettering on this piece. IMG_0671.JPG Its dull and chipped. I guess if there is not an aftermarket deal I'll have to try and paint it on somehow. I...

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
Well, I haven't posted in a while because while drilling out my engine mount holes the drill bit jammed up but the drill kept turning and snapped my pinky finger in half just above the knuckle. :cussing: IMG_0687.JPG IMG_0689.JPG The engine will have to wait until the finger heals but, things have p...

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
I finished painting the engine compartment pieces and temporarily bolted the front body parts back on. The next step is to mount the engine and clean up the gauge cluster. I'm hoping to get the engine put in this weekend!

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
Well I finally got all the parts I needed to mate the transmission with the motor. The transmission I got with the motor had an odd ball bell housing, flex plate and torque converter (141 tooth). I went to a bigger more common bell housing, plate and TC. I am just about ready to drop the engine in!

64 F100 Heater Modification/ Update?
I have been searching for heater assembly parts for my 64 for a while now with no luck other than a heater box, motor and core. I can not find the plenum/ vent and the parts that connect the box to the kick panel vent. It seems to be a lot easier to find the entire assembly for the 65 F100's. Has an...

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
Keep the pics coming. You may want to reduce your primer a little to cut back on the orange peel. It doesn't take much, but improves the flow tremendously. Thanks for the tip Bruce. I have been playing around with the gun quite a bit and am trying to figure it out. This is my first time trying to p...

Re: Renewed old build 64 F100 long bed
I am finally making a little progress. I have been busy blasting and priming the front body parts, stripping the hood, I am getting the transmission rebuilt this week and even found a steering wheel on eBay for $50 http://rs1066.pbsrc.com/albums/u420/claytonsmalley/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsvndhk8op...

64 F100 Automatic shift steering column

I want to put in an automatic tranny but dont want to put the shifter on the floor. I know that the 64 auto column is hard to find so... does anyone know whe...
