Re: 302 engine install question
I put a 351w in my 63 and bought a 50$ tubular cross member and centered it up and welded it in, but I don't know about 65-66 though. Looks extremely Clean http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-49-50-51-52-53-54-55-56-FORD-TRUCK-TUBULAR-ENGINE-CROSSMEMBER-289-302-/380661757673?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Acce...

Re: new member in Arkansas saying hello
Welcome from West Virginia!! King pins will normally just fold when you go around a curve.(my king pins are shot in my '63) Not so much a "thunking" noise. Check the tires for bulged or flat spots. After that I would pull a drum, make sure everything is still in there and tight.

Uni going up for sale...
Well between my schooling and my part-time job, I really don't have time to work on it, so I have come to the conclusion to sale it. I don't know really what to ask for it. I thinking 2500$ or so, It is subframed and tubbed (axle not narrowed) and 99.5% rust free. Has new cab mounts, floor boards, b...

Well I have found a style side bed for my 63, and have decided to lower it some. I got the old flare side bed off and working on cleaning the frame, it has already been painted just cleaning off the dirt now. http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k617/Enix2011/1963%20short%20bed/Zaks63nobed2.jpg http:...

Re: Power Steering??
I drive my truck everyday about 70 miles a day, not counting my extra running on my days off. It equals out to about 1,000 miles every 2 weeks. 13 mpg is really hurtin' right now with only having a part time job. Thank you for the information on the steering box btw, I will look into that.

Well guys I have 40 lbs compression in cylinder 1 and 2, and 115-125 lbs in the rest. Also did a leak down test and have 100% leakage between 1 and 2.

Re: trouble on DD lane
Yes it does still have points and the plugs were under warranty. Battery is good and it already has an alternator on it. I was afraid to drive it today. I usually drive it 70+ miles a day so I didn't know if it would make it.
