4.6/5.4 conversion
I've done the conversion on my '66. I am averaging about 22 MPG.I've put about 3000 miles on it now.Mine is from a bone stock '04 crown vic.Thought I would be dissappointed in the power after having a 428SCJ 6PACK,but I am completely satisfied!

CROWN VIC CONVERSION
Hey man in my opinion the 2003 and newer solid crown vic subframe is without a doubt the way to go.I installed it in the truck you see in my profile pic.You have to weld 2 very minor brackets for the two rear trailing arms but the rest bolts in.I have put about 600 miles on mine since completion and...

rear axles
you need 2-right hand(pass side) axles out of any 60's wagon w/ a 9 inch.I just lucked up and found a local salvage yard that had 2 of them.I'm sure a full size car would probably work also but I just know for sure a wagon would.

engine bay
The engine is centered in the engine bay.Since I used the crown vic frontend and the 4.6 it just worked out perfect.Installed front end, bolted everything up to the factory crown vic motor mounts and WALLA ....Fit like a glove.
